Humans can be a regenerative part of nature.

We connect people to place and planet through nourishment, tending, shelter, art, and community — working toward a future where humans life enhances the planet.

Agriculture is the largest anthropomorphic land use on the planet. Homes are the most ubiquitous building typology worldwide. The way we feed and shelter ourselves has changed the planet. We are part of nature. Intellectually we know we need to draw down carbon and change the course of climate change. Statistics alone have not made us change course. There are other ways of knowing, portions of our being that hold collective memory and knowledge. Communion and care access that knowledge leading to changes in behavior, allowing new paradigms to take root. Neuroscience confirms that we need many parts of our brain for wisdom, including the limbic system governing emotions as well as the pre-frontal cortex governing executive functioning.

Red Dot Ranch is a place to engage all of us. We will get dirty; we will leave tired and whole.
